Is it worth upgrading to the iPhone 3GS?
With the arrival of the iPhone 3GS some of you may be wondering if it’s worth the price.  You may already have an iPhone, or you’re looking at buying one for the first time.

So let’s answer the question,
is the new iPhone 3GS worth buying?  Are the new features of the iPhone 3GS sufficient enough to warrant the price tag?  Let’s look at the upgrades of the iPhone 3GS and compare it to the previous iPhones.

With the iPhone 3GS it seems
Apple went back to the basics.  Many of the new features of the iPhone 3GS are commonly found on phones today.  You can cut and paste, use voice control, make voice memos and record video.

So what is the big deal with the new iPhone 3GS?  Let’s just say
Apple did what they do best.  They have taken those things found standard on phones today and turned them into something that we can use easier and better then we ever thought before.  Let’s use the video camera as an example.

The iPhone 3GS
finally has a video camera.  Most of you wouldn’t think this is a big deal.  Yes, today this is something that one would commonly find on a phone.  But with the iPhone 3GS Apple took it to the next level, and, well they “Applefied” it.  Now with the iPhone 3GS you can crop and edit video, post it directly to your favorite websites and do it all in high quality.  The iPhone 3GS took something that is standard and turned it into something that can truly be used in today.

There is a
new keyboard function on the iPhone 3GS.  This greatly solves any problems people had with texting and emailing on the older version.  It’s simple, turn your iPhone 3GS sideways and the keyboard expands to allow faster and more accurate writing.  You may call this simple, I call it subtle.  This is perfect example of what the new iPhone 3GS brings, subtle ease in the applications of the iPhone in day to day use.  There are plenty of upgrades with the new iPhone 3GS that you could call basic.  But they are done in a way that you may not fully realize they are there.

Everything is so smooth and effortless that it just feels right.
Every app runs faster and all those things that were missed with the iPhone 3G has now been added with the iPhone 3GS, not to mention the improved download speed.  With every company working fast to upgrade to 3G speed, only the iPhone 3GS will allow you to take full advantage of 3G networks.  Soon the download speed will not be restricted by networks, but with the phone you are using.  So the older versions won’t cut it.  If you want download at top speed, you now need the iPhone 3GS.

With the arrival of the iPhone 3GS I think Apple has truly made a phone worth having.  All the bugs have been ironed out.  It has been gone over with a fine tooth comb and has been turned into a true power house in the phone industry.  I recommend not settling for anything less.  The iPhone 3GS has captured our idea of what a phone should be.
